December 2009
Welcome Back from the The Thanksgiving break. During the month of December we will be reading the novel The Red Scarf Girl. This novel is a memoir, which is a cross between a biography ( but not as long) and a diary ( but not as detailed.) This young lady is around the same age as my students and shares her life in the communist party. We will still include other skills during the student’s center time. This will be reflected on their Power School.
During their reading each students will be expected to complete a Literature job, there are seven jobs all together. They are also responsible for completing any other activities assigned to them.
